Widdicombe Farm touring park, Torquay, Torbay, Paignton, Devon

October 2019

Cleaning & Maintenance couple required

We are looking for a conscientious couple to join our dedicated team in cleaning to the highest standards and assisting us with park maintenance. This seasonal position is available from mid-March to end of September 2020 for the right couple.

Widdicombe Farm is a 4 star, adults only touring park in the heart of the English Riviera. The park is set in 8 acres where we have 190 touring pitches, 6 camping pitches, 3 static holiday caravans, 3 shower/toilet and amenity blocks, a shop, restaurant and bar.

The main duties will include cleaning shower/toilet blocks, washing up stations, laundrette, chemical disposal points, cleaning the 3 static caravans and the seating area in the bar. The static caravan cleaning involves bed linen changes and inventory checks. You will also be required to show guests to the static accommodation once they’ve booked in with Reception.

Additional duties to cleaning are helping with grass cutting, weeding, watering, bins & recycling and general handy man jobs. The ability to tow, manoeuvre and site touring caravans is essential. A driving licence is a requirement.

You can live on the park in your own caravan or motorhome (which must be clean and tidy) and we offer free pitch, free wifi & free use of washing machine & dryer (on a rota basis).

Your working week is over 5 days which includes weekend working. The average hours will be 30-35 hours per person, per week in low season, rising up to 40 hours dependant on the time of year and number of guests on the park for which you will receive the National Living Wage. You will have 2 consecutive days off per week.

Candidates for this role must both be physically fit, enthusiastic and be team players. You will be working with another couple on a rota but you must be able to demonstrate the ability to work on your own initiative to identify problems and put things right without having to be asked.

Please apply in the first instance to Liz/Sandie – info@widdicombefarm.co.uk with your CVs and letters of introduction.
