Access Statement For Widdicombe Farm Touring Park

Widdicombe Farm is located on the outskirts of Marldon, Paignton & Torquay and is set in 8 acres. Our aim is to help you enjoy your holiday by providing clean facilities in a safe and well managed environment.


  • On arrival there is a designated arrival parking area immediately opposite the reception office.
  • The reception also houses a small shop. The building is spacious and fully wheelchair accessible.
  • The Fire Assembly point is outside the reception on the gravel parking area.


  • The touring pitches all have a level gravel surface and the roadways throughout the park are tarmac.
  • The park is set on a hillside so many of the pathways between areas throughout the park are on a gradual slope. There are some paths with steps between terrace levels. Most are tarmac paths but a few are gravel surface however they all have handrails to assist you where appropriate.
  • There are three amenity buildings each having sufficient toilet/shower and washing facilities within them. The central amenity building has designated disabled toilet/shower facilities although the others do have very reasonable access and services.
  • Our holiday caravan accommodation is accessed via 15 steps with a handrail leading to a sloping tarmac pathway. There is no parking immediately adjacent to the accommodation.
  • Gordon’s Bar and Poppies Restaurant are both fully accessible via single or double door entry points. However, management would ask you to advise them of your intended visit if wanting to use motorised chairs as seating may need to be rearranged to more easily accommodate them. Parking is available adjacent to the bar and restaurant. Flashing lights may be used in Gordon’s Bar.
  • The laundry room has two small steps on entry at a height of 14cms each and a door width of 670cms. Washing machines and tumblers are front loading with just the spinner top loading. The Ironing board is a comfortable height of 85cms.


  • The nearest towns of Torquay and Paignton are situated 3 miles from the park, both towns have a train station, a bus station and several taxi ranks.
  • The nearest public bus stop is 1483m (just under a mile) outside the park approximately 25- 30mins walk along a tarmac and gravel public bridleway.
  • The public bridleway takes you safely along to an enclosed field where you can exercise your dog.
  • There are many local attractions and beaches within 10 - 15 mins drive of the park.
